Removing
NOTE: Bushings must be replaced in pairs, left and right.
1.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always place the vehicle on secure stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the front wheel assembly with tires.
3. Remove the upper left arm. For more information refer to Upper Arm (60.35.01)
4. Remove the heat shield to gain access to the upper arm bolts. Loosen the nut. Remove the front bolt and loosen the rear bolt.
5. Loosen the upper arm bolts.
6. Disconnect the height sensor link.

WARNING: Use the included hex wrench to prevent the ball joint from turning.
Loosen the stabilizer bar nut. Discard the nut.

CAUTION: Support the wheel knuckle to prevent the wheel knuckle from falling out and disengaging the axle shaft inner joint.
Loosen the upper arm mounting nut.
9. Using the special tool, disconnect the upper arm ball joint. Loosen the nut and discard it.
10. Disconnect the brake hose from the upper arm.
11. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor wire from the upper control arm.
12. Remove the upper right arm.
13. Note the position of the bushing in relation to the upper arm.

ATTENTION: To remove the bushing, it is necessary to remove its flanges.
Using a suitable tool, bend the bushing flanges.
15. Using a hacksaw, separate the flange from the bush without damaging the upper arm.
16. Using the special tools, remove and discard the upper arm bushings.
Installation
1.
CAUTION: Be sure to use the correct special tool to set the bushings to the correct depth.
Using the special tools, install the upper arm rear bushings. Arrange the sleeve so that the arrow on it points to the mark previously made on the upper arm.
2. Using the special tools, install the upper arm front bushings. Position the sleeve so that the arrow on it points to the mark previously made on the upper arm.
3. Install the upper right arm. Insert the bolts, but do not fully tighten them yet.
4. Attach the brake hose to the upper arm. tighten bolt (tightening torque 23 Nm).
5. Attach the wheel speed sensor wire to the upper control arm.
6. Attach the upper arm to the wheel knuckle. Screw on the new nut and tighten it (tightening torque 70 Nm).
7. Attach the stabilizer bar. Install new nut and tighten (tightening torque 115 Nm).
8. Attach the height sensor arm.
9. Adjust the height distance between the center of the axle shaft end and the edge of the fender trim panel to 466mm.
10. Tighten the 2 nuts and bolts of the upper arm (tightening torque 175 Nm).
11. Attach the heat shield.
12. Install the top left arm. For more information refer to Upper Arm (60.35.01)
13. Install the front wheels. Tighten wheel nuts (tightening torque 140 Nm).
