Removing
1.
WARNING: Do not work on or under the vehicle if it is only supported by a jack. Always place secure supports under the vehicle.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire wheel.
3. Loosen the axle nut.
4. Remove the brake disc. For more information refer to Brake Disc (70.12.10)
5. Loosen the axle shaft nut. Discard the nut.
6. Loosen the tie rod end ball joint nut.
7. Using the special tool, disconnect the tie rod end ball joint from the wheel knuckle. Discard the nut.
8. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor from the wheel knuckle.

CAUTION: Use a hex wrench to prevent rotation of the ball joint.
Loosen and discard the stabilizer bar nut.
10. Loosen the upper arm mounting nut.
11. Using the special tool, disconnect the upper arm ball joint.
12. Using the special tools, disconnect the axle shaft from the drive flange.
13. Loosen the lower ball joint nut.
14. Using the special tool, disconnect the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle.

CAUTION: Excessive rotation can damage the lower arm ball joint. The knuckle of the wheel must be maintained at all times. Do not let the wheel knuckle hang on the lower arm. Failure to do so may result in vehicle damage.
Loosen the upper arm mounting nut. Discard the nut.

NOTE: Do not further disassemble if the part is removed only for access.
Remove the wheel knuckle.
17. Remove the brake disc guard. Turn out five bolts of fastening.
18. Remove the wheel hub. Turn out 4 bolts.
Installation
1. Clear the details.
2. Install the wheel hub. Tighten 4 bolts (tightening torque 115 Nm).
3. Install the brake disc guard. Tighten the 5 bolts to 10 Nm.

CAUTION: Excessive rotation can damage the lower arm ball joint. The knuckle of the wheel must be maintained at all times. Do not let the wheel knuckle hang on the lower arm. Failure to do so may result in vehicle damage.
With assistance, install the wheel knuckle.
5. Using the special tools, insert the axle shaft into the wheel hub.
6. Attach the upper arm to the wheel knuckle. Install a new nut and tighten it (tightening torque 70 Nm).
7. Attach the stabilizer bar. Fit new nut and tighten to 115 Nm.
8. Tighten the lower arm ball joint nut (tightening torque 175 Nm).
9. Attach the tie rod end ball joint. Screw on the new nut and tighten it (tightening torque 76 Nm).
10. Install a new axle nut and lightly tighten it.
11. Install the wheel speed sensor. Tighten the bolt with a torque of 10 Nm.
12. Install the brake disc. For more information refer to Brake Disc (70.12.10)
13. Tighten the new axle shaft nut (tightening torque 350 Nm). Fasten the nut on the axle shaft.
14. Install wheel with tire. Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 Nm.
