Removing

For all vehicles

1.

WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Be sure to install safety supports under the car.

Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.

3. Remove the lower arm. For more information, refer to Lower Arm (60.35.02)

4. Remove the snap ring.




5. Inspect the installed ball joint for rounding.

6. Using the special tools, remove the ball joint.

7. Using the special tools, remove the ball joint.

Installation

For all vehicles


1. Clear the elements.

2. Inspect the new hinge for rounding.

3. Install the ball joint using the special tools.

4. Using the special tools, install the ball joint.



For all vehicles

5. Install retaining ring.

6. Install the lower arm. For more information, refer to Lower Arm (60.35.02)

7. Install the wheel and tire assembly. Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 Nm (103 lb/ft).
