A drive disk is mounted on the outer side of the outer CV joints. It is used by the wheel speed sensor to determine wheel and vehicle speeds.
Each drive shaft consists of 2 CV joints (indoor and outdoor), boots, outer tube, and a one-piece bar that is held in the front differential by a circlip (for more information about CV joints, see section "axle joint").
