Removing
WARNING: There is a possibility of incorrect installation of the drive shaft. Note the position of the part before dismantling.
NOTE: During storage, a small amount of oil may leak from the drive shaft joints. This loss of oil does not affect the function or life of the joint in any way.
1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification

WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the engine protection. For more information refer to Motor Protection (76.10.50)
4. Remove the cross bar. For more information, refer to Transmission Crossmember (76.10.09 or 76.10.92)

CAUTION: Mark the position of the propshaft flange in relation to the pinion flange.
CAUTION: To avoid damaging the pivot or boot, do not allow the drive shaft to hang unsecured on one side.
Disconnect the drive shaft from the transfer case drive flange. Remove 6 Torx bolts and washers, discard bolts.

CAUTION: Mark the position of the propshaft flange in relation to the pinion flange.
CAUTION: To avoid damaging the pivot or boot, do not allow the drive shaft to hang unsecured on one side.
Disconnect the drive shaft from the front axle drive flange. Remove 6 Torx bolts and washers, discard bolts.
7. Remove the front drive shaft.
- Squeeze the hinges to disengage the drive flanges.
- Remove the bushing from the transfer case drive flange.
Installation

NOTE: During storage, a small amount of oil may leak from the drive shaft joints. This loss of oil does not affect the function or life of the joint in any way.
Install the drive shaft.
- Clear the details.
- Install bushing.
- Squeeze the hinges to engage the drive flanges.
2. Connect the drive shaft to the front axle drive flange. Tighten new Torx bolts (tightening torque 45 Nm), then tighten the bolts another 90 degrees.
3. Connect the drive shaft to the transfer case drive flange. Tighten new Torx bolts (tightening torque 45 Nm), then tighten the bolts another 90 degrees.
4. Establish a cross beam of a transmission. For more information, refer to Transmission Crossmember (76.10.09 or 76.10.92)
5. Install engine protection. For more information refer to Motor Protection (76.10.50)
6. Connect wire "masses" to the battery. For more information, refer to Specification
