Removing
NOTE: If the parking brake pads or brake discs have not been removed to gain access to other parts, the lapping procedure DOES NOT NEED.
1.
ATTENTION: It is forbidden to turn on the ignition with the parking brake in the service mode, because as a result this parking brake mode will be turned off.
Switch the parking brake to service mode.
- Turn the ignition key to position II.
- Press and hold the foot brake.
- Set the parking brake switch to the RELEASE position and hold it in this position.
- Turn the ignition key to position 0 and remove it from the ignition switch.
- Release the foot brake.
- Release the parking brake switch.
2. Insulate the parking brake circuit. Remove fuse 8 from the battery junction box.

WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the wheel.
5. Remove the brake caliper support bracket. For more information refer to Brake caliper base plate (70.55.29)
6. Release the parking brake pad adjuster.
- Remove the plug from the hole in the brake disc.
- Use a suitable tool to turn the brake pad adjuster to release it.
- Install the access cover.
7. Remove the brake disc. Remove the Torx head screw.
Installation
1. Make sure the contact surfaces of the brake disc and wheel hub are clean.
2. Install the brake disc. Tighten Torx Head Screw (tightening torque 35 Nm).
3. Install the brake caliper support bracket. For more information refer to Brake caliper base plate (70.55.29)
4. Adjust the parking brake. For more information, refer to Adjusting the Parking Brake Pads and Pads (70.40.11)
5. Install fuse 8 in the battery junction box.
6. Install the wheel. Tighten wheel nuts (tightening torque 140 Nm).
