The brake pedal is attached to a bracket mounted on the rear side of the bulkhead of the engine compartment. On left-hand drive manual transmission models, the brake pedal uses the same bracket and pivot bolt as the clutch pedal. On right-hand drive and manual transmission models, a separate bracket is used for the brake pedal. A pin with a head with a hole and a cotter pin connect the brake pedal to the brake booster rod. The brake pedal buffer is mounted on the inner cross member of the chassis to limit rearward movement of the brake pedal in the event of an accident.
