Third row seat (Discovery 3)

Removing

NOTE: Third row seats must be removed as a pair.

1. Remove the luggage compartment mounts. Remove 4 Torx head screws.



2. Remove luggage compartment trim panels. Release 4 clips.

NOTE: Torx head bolts are reusable.

Remove the third row seats.

• Loosen upholstery.
• Remove 10 Torx head screws.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further disassembly if the part is being removed only for access.

Separate the third row seats.

• Remove the seat frame trim.
• Drill out 6 rivets.
• Remove 2 brackets.

Installation

1. Connect the seats of the third row.

• Install the brackets.
• Install rivets.

2. Install third row seats.

• Tighten Torx Head Bolts (tightening torque 40 Nm).
• Fasten upholstery.

3. Install the luggage compartment trim panels. Fasten with clips.

4. Install the luggage compartment mounts. Tighten Torx Head Bolts (tightening torque 25 Nm).
