Front seat tilt motor (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Remove the front seat. For more information refer to Front Seat (78.10.44/99)

2. Remove a lateral overlay of a pillow of a forward seat.

• Remove 2 Torx head screws.
• Release 3 clips.

3. Release the front seat control switch.

• Remove 2 screws.
• Remove two clamps.

4. Remove the front seat cushion assembly. For more information, refer to Front Seat Cushion (78.10.12/99)

5. Remove the front seat tilt motor assembly.

• Remove 4 Torx head screws.
• Disconnect 7 electrical connectors.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further disassembly if the part is being removed only for access.

Remove the seat module bracket. Remove 2 Torx head screws.

Installation

1. Install the seat module bracket. Tighten Torx Head Bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

2. Install the front seat tilt motor assembly.

• Tighten 4 Torx head bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).
• Connect electrical connectors.

3. Install the front seat cushion assembly. For more information, refer to Front Seat Cushion (78.10.12/99)

4. Establish a lateral overlay of a pillow of a forward seat.

• Fasten with clips.
• Tighten the screws.

5. Install the front seat adjustment switch.

• Fasten the clamps.
• Tighten the screws.

6. Install the front seat. For more information refer to Front Seat (78.10.44/99)
