Passenger Airbag Module (Discovery 3)

Removing

WARNING: Before carrying out any work on the SRS system, read the related information carefully.

CAUTION: Always disconnect both wires from the battery before working on the SRS system. Disconnect the cable first "masses". Never connect the battery with reverse polarity.

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery.

2. Secure the SRS system.

3. Remove the top of the control panel.

For more information, refer to Upper section of instrument panel (76.46.04)

4. Remove the passenger airbag module.

• Loosen 4 nuts.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly. if the part is removed only to gain access.

Remove the passenger airbag module bracket.

• Loosen 2 nuts.

Installation

1. Install the passenger airbag module bracket.

• Tighten nuts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

2. Install the passenger airbag module.

• Tighten nuts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

3. Install the top of the control panel.
