B-pillar side impact sensor (Discovery 3)

Removing

WARNING: Before carrying out any work on the SRS system, read the related information carefully.

CAUTION: Always disconnect the battery before working on the SRS system. Disconnect the cable first "masses". Never connect the battery with reverse polarity.

NOTE: If SRS system components need to be replaced, the barcode of the new part must be recorded.

1. Place the SRS system in safe mode.

2. Remove the panel of finishing of an overlay of a threshold of a door.

For more information refer to Door Sill Trim Panel (76.49.54)

3. Remove the side impact sensor.

• Remove 2 Torx head screws.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation

1. Install the side impact sensor.

• Connect the electrical connector.
• Tighten Torx Head Bolts (tightening torque 8 Nm).

2. Install the door sill trim panel.
