Removing
NOTE: This procedure involves the removal and installation of the ignition lock cylinder. The larvae of the ignition lock and the larvae of the door locks must be replaced as a set.
1. Fully extend the steering column for easy access.
2. Remove the top casing of a steering column. Release 4 clips.
3. Remove the lower casing of a steering column.
- Remove 3 Torx head screws.
- Release the steering column adjustment lever.
4. Remove passive spring.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release 2 clips.
- Turn the ignition switch to position 1.
- Insert a pin, the diameter of which does not exceed 2 mm, into the hole in the ignition lock housing, press the plunger and release the ignition lock cylinder.
Installation
1. Install the ignition lock cylinder.
- Turn the ignition switch to position 1.
- Insert the part into the guides and press the plunger.
2. Install passive spring.
- Engage clamps.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Tighten the Torx screws.
- Engage clamps.
- Fasten the adjusting lever.
