Removal and installation of a covering of a ceiling (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Remove both top panels of finishing of a forward rack of a body. For more information refer to 'A' Pillar Trim Panel (76.13.26)

2. Remove both top panels of finishing of an average rack of a body. For more information, refer to Top Trim Panel (76.13.28)

3. Remove both top panels of finishing of a back rack of a body. For more information, refer to Top Trim Panel (76.13.35)

4. Remove both top panels of finishing of a rack of a back door. For more information refer to 'D' Pillar Trim Panel (76.13.30)

5. Remove the front upper console.

• Carefully release the 7 clips.
• Disconnect 3 electrical connectors.

6. Remove the rear top console.

• Carefully release the 9 clips.
• Disconnect 2 electrical connectors.

7. Disconnect an electric socket of the right forward rack of a body.




8. Remove the sun visor.

• Remove the cover.
• Remove 2 screws.
• Release the clamp.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.
• Repeat the above procedure on the other side.

9. Remove the sun visor retainer.

• Remove the screw cover.
• Remove the screw.
• Repeat the above procedure on the other side.

10. Remove the passenger handrail.

• Remove the 2 screw covers.
• Remove 2 screws.
• Repeat the above procedure for the remaining five handrails.

11. Set the front seats to the most forward position.

12. Set the rear seats to the most forward position.

13. Remove the panel of furnish of an upholstery of a back part of a roof.

• Release 7 clips.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.

14. Disconnect an electric socket of a plait of an electrical wiring of an upholstery of a back part of a roof.



15. With assistance, carefully remove the roof upholstery. Release 14 clips.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further disassembly if the part is being removed only for access.

Remove the rear interior lamp.

• Release the clamp.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.
• Repeat the above procedure on the other side.

17. Remove the wiring harness from the roof upholstery.

Installation

1. Install the wiring harness to the headliner. Attach the wiring harness to the roof lining.


2. Install the interior lamp.

• Engage clamp.
• Connect the electrical connector.
• Repeat the above procedure on the other side.

3. With assistance, carefully install the headliner. Fasten the clamp.

4. Connect an electric socket of a plait of an electrical wiring of an upholstery of a back part of a roof.

5. Install the rear roof trim trim panel. Fasten the clamps.

6. Set the rear seats to their original position.

7. Set the front seats to their original position.

8. Install handrails for passengers.

• Screw in the screws.
• Install the screw covers.

9. Install sun visors

• Install clamps.
• Screw in the screws.
• Install the screw covers.
• Connect electrical connectors.

10. Connect an electric socket of the right forward rack of a body.

11. Install the rear upper console.

• Connect electrical connectors.
• Fasten the clips carefully.

12. Install the front upper console.

• Connect electrical connectors.
• Fasten the clips carefully.

13. Establish both top panels of furnish of a rack of a back door. For more information refer to 'D' Pillar Trim Panel (76.13.30)

14. Establish both top panels of furnish of a back rack of a body. For more information, refer to Top Trim Panel (76.13.35)

15. Establish both top panels of finishing of an average rack of a body. For more information, refer to Top Trim Panel (76.13.28)

16. Establish both top panels of furnish of a forward rack of a body. For more information refer to 'A' Pillar Trim Panel (76.13.26)
