Engine cover 4.0L (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery.

For more information refer to Specification.

2. Unscrew the oil filler cap.

NOTE: Note the positions of the spacers.

Remove the engine cover.

• Loosen 4 nuts.
• Remove spacers.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further disassembly if the part is being removed only for access.

Remove the acoustic panel.

• Remove 7 clips.
• Remove 4 supports and compression limiters.

Installation

1. Install the acoustic panel.

• Install and secure clamps.
• Install the sealing sleeves.
• Set compression limiters.

2. Install the engine cover.

• Install spacers.
• Tighten nuts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

3. Connect the wire "masses" to the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
