C-pillar upper trim panel (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Tilt back the rear seat back.

2. Remove the door opening seal.

3. Remove the lower seat belt anchor. Remove and discard the Torx head bolt.

4. Remove the top trim panel access cover.

5. Remove the top facing panel of a back rack of a body.

• Remove and discard the Torx head screw.
• Loosen 4 clamps.
• Detach the seat belt from the seat.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further disassembly if the part is being removed only for access.

Remove the 4 clips from the C-pillar upper trim panel.

Installation

1. Install clips to C-pillar upper trim panel.

2. Establish the top facing panel of a back rack of a body.

• Fasten the seat belt.
• Engage clamps.
• Screw in a new Torx head screw (tightening torque 3 Nm).

3. Install the top trim panel access cover.

4. Install the lower seat belt anchor. Tighten a new Torx head bolt (tightening torque 40 Nm).

5. Install the door opening seal.

6. Return the seat back to the upright position
