Lifting luggage compartment door (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Open the tailgate and tailgate.

2. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

3. Remove the top panel of furnish of a door of a luggage space. Release 4 clips.



4. Remove the tailgate trim side panel.

• Release 5 clips.
• Repeat the above procedure on the other side.

5. Remove the panel of furnish of an upholstery of a back part of a roof.

• Release 7 clips.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.

6. Disconnect the washer hose. Release the sealing sleeve.


7. Release the tailgate wiring harness.

• Disconnect 2 electrical connectors.
• Release the sealing sleeve.

8. With assistance, remove the tailgate assembly.

• Release clips and disconnect cowl racks.
• Turn out 2 bolts.

Installation

1. With assistance, install the tailgate assembly.

• Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 40 Nm).
• Attach the racks and secure them with clips.

2. Connect the tailgate harness.

• Install the sealing sleeve.
• Connect electrical connectors.

3. Connect the washer nozzle hose. Install the sealing sleeve.

4. Establish the side panel of furnish of a door of a luggage space.

• Engage clamps.
• Repeat the above procedure on the other side.

5. Remove the upper tailgate trim panel. Engage clamps.

6. Connect the wire "masses" to the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

7. Check and adjust the position of the tailgate relative to the roof panel. For more information, refer to Tailgate Alignment (76.28.31)
