Oil cooler — removal and installation (Defender 2007+)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery.

For more information, see the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mount and Wires, General Procedures).

2. Remove the engine oil filter.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Oil filter housing (303-01 Engine - Diesel engine ID4 2.4L, Car repair).

CAUTION: Plug all openings. Use new caps.

Remove the oil cooler.

• Turn out 5 bolts.
• Remove and discard o-rings.

Installation

1.

NOTE: Remove and discard plugs.

NOTE: Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.

NOTE: Install a new o-ring.

Reinstall the elements in reverse order. Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).



2. Connect the wire "masses" to the battery.
