Left engine support — removal and installation (Defender 2007+)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery.

For more information, see the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mount and Wires, General Procedures).

2. Remove the hood.

3. Remove the top cooling fan shroud. Release 6 clips.



4. Remove the air filter outlet pipe.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Air filter outlet pipe (303-12 Intake air distribution and filtration -Diesel engine ID4 2.4L, Removal and installation).

5. Unscrew a nut of the right support of the engine.



6. Disconnect the charge air cooler outlet hose. Loosen the clamp.




7. Unscrew a nut of the left support of the engine.



8. Using a suitable hydraulic jack, raise the engine up to a maximum of 45 mm.



9. Remove the left engine mount. Turn out two bolts.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order. Tighten (tightening torque 80 Nm).




2. Tighten (tightening torque 80 Nm).



3. Tighten (tightening torque 3 Nm).



4. Tighten (tightening torque 80 Nm).



5. Connect the wire "masses" to the battery.
