Removing
1. Remove the cover.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the crankshaft position sensor (CKP).
3. Remove the CKP sensor and discard it. Turn out a bolt.
Installation
1.
NOTE: The engine should only be turned in the normal direction of rotation of the crankshaft.
Rotate the engine until the flywheel pulse tooth is visible through the CKP sensor housing.

CAUTION: The tip of the CKP sensor must rest on the flywheel impulse tooth. Improper installation can result in damage to the CKP sensor.
NOTE: Make sure the CKP sensor housing is clean and free of foreign material.
Install the CKP sensor. Tighten to 7 Nm.
3. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the cover.
