Air filter element — removal and installation (Defender 2007+)

Removing

1. Release the air filter outlet pipe. Release the clamp.



2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the mass air flow sensor (MAF). Disconnect the wiring harness.



3. Remove the air filter housing cover.



4. Remove the filter element.

Installation

1.

CAUTION: Correctly position the rear fixing elements of the air filter housing cover.

NOTE: Clean the base of the air filter.

Install the elements in the reverse order of disassembly.
