NOTE: If a unit or component is likely to fail and the vehicle is still under manufacturer's warranty, refer to the warranty manual before replacing the component (section B1.2) or determine if there is any previously approved special program in operation.
NOTE: Universal Scan Tools may not read the listed codes or may only read 5-digit codes. Match the 5 digits from the scan tool with the first 5 digits of the 7-digit code listed to identify the problem (the last 2 digits give additional information read by the diagnostic system approved by the manufacturer).
NOTE: Always use a digital multimeter when performing voltage or resistance tests (DMM) accurate to three decimal places and with a valid calibration certificate. When testing resistance, be sure to consider the resistance of the DMM leads.
NOTE: Before starting diagnostic programs using troubleshooting tests, check and correct major problems.
NOTE: Inspect the connectors for signs of water intrusion and their pins for damage and (or) traces of corrosion.
NOTE: If DTCs are logged and there is no problem after performing troubleshooting tests, an intermittent problem may be the cause. Be sure to check for loose connections and corroded contacts.
For more information, see the chapter: (413-01 Instrument panel).
dtc | Description | Possible reason (causes) | Action |
U0001-88 | Malfunction due to disconnection of the high-speed LAN bus of the controllers (CAN) | Perform a complete read of the vehicle's DTCs indicating a CAN circuit or unit failure. Correct if necessary. Clear DTCs and check for correct operation. Refer to the warranty policy and procedures manual if a unit failure is suspected.
B1A75-01 | Fuel sensor 1 general electrical fault | Check the fuel level sensor and circuits. See wiring diagrams. If necessary, install a new fuel level sensor For more information, refer to the chapter: Fuel level sensor (310-01 Fuel tank and fuel lines - Diesel engine ID4 2.4L, Removal and installation). Clear DTCs and check for correct operation. Refer to the warranty policy and procedures manual if instrument panel failure is suspected.
B1A81-64 | Disconnect switch internal circuit data invalid | Instrument panel failure | Check instrument panel circuits. See wiring diagrams. Clear the DTC. Turn the ignition on and off and retest. If DTCs reset, check the instrument panel. Refer to the warranty policy and procedures manual if instrument panel failure is suspected. |
P1602-31 | Immobilizer / engine control unit communication error: no signal | Check for related DTCs. Correct if necessary. Clear DTCs and check for correct operation. Check alarm circuits (immobilizer). See wiring diagrams. Correct if necessary. Clear DTCs and check for correct operation. Refer to the warranty policy and procedures manual if a unit failure is suspected.
U0100-87 | Lack of communication on the LAN bus of the controllers (CAN): the engine control unit (ECM) | Perform a complete read of vehicle DTCs. Check for other CAN bus related DTCs or apparently unrelated customer complaints. Check CAN bus and unit power and ground circuits. See wiring diagrams. Correct if necessary. Clear DTCs and check for correct operation. Refer to the warranty policy and procedures manual if a unit failure is suspected.
U0401-68 | Invalid data received from the engine control unit (ECM) | Incorrect signals received from the engine control unit | Check for related DTCs. Correct if necessary. Clear DTCs and check for correct operation. Check sensor signal circuits. See wiring diagrams. Correct if necessary. Clear DTCs and check for correct operation. |
U2101-00 | Control unit configuration incompatibility | Missing or corrupted central unit configuration parameter | Check if the correct version of the vehicle configuration software is installed in the central unit. Reprogram the instrument panel if necessary. |
U3000-17 | Control unit overvoltage. | Check instrument panel power circuits. Check charging system and charging voltage. See wiring diagrams. Correct if necessary. Clear the DTC. Turn the ignition on and off and retest. Refer to the warranty policy and procedures manual if instrument panel failure is suspected.
U3000-46 | Error of an electrically erasable programmable ROM (EEPROM) control unit | Check instrument panel circuits. See wiring diagrams. Correct if necessary. Clear the DTC. Turn the ignition on and off and retest. Tune the unit using an approved diagnostic system. If DTCs reset, check the instrument panel. Refer to the warranty policy and procedures manual if instrument panel failure is suspected. |
