Removing

NOTE: The description of the removal procedure may contain a description of the installation steps.

1. Refer to the procedure: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mount and Wires, General Procedures).

2. Refer to the procedure: Winch (419-12 Winch, Removal and installation).

3. Tightening torque: 7 Nm.

Caveats:

• Mark the position of the cables for ease of installation.
• Use an extra wrench when loosening and tightening the terminals to avoid damage to the elements.

Tightening torque: 25 Nm.

Caveats:

• If the armature is removed from the motor, the motor brushes will need to be re-adjusted to allow installation.
• Make sure the armature shaft is removed with the motor housing.
• If necessary, use a suitable tool to move the armature along with the motor.

Tightening torque: 8 Nm.

Installation

1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.
