Winch control unit (Defender 2007+)

Removing

NOTE: The description of the removal procedure may contain a description of the installation steps.

1. Refer to the procedure: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mount and Wires, General Procedures).

2. Refer to procedure: Winch Motor (41912 Winch, Removal and installation).

3. Tightening torque: 27 Nm.

CAUTION: Make sure the first stage gear meshes properly with the motor clutch.

Tightening torque: 27 Nm.

NOTE: Note the location of the electrical connectors and wire harnesses.

Torque:

• Large terminals 7 Nm
• Small terminals 10 Nm

Installation

1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.
