Antenna — removal and installation (Defender 2007+)

Removing

1. Remove the audio system.

For more information, see the chapter: Audio block (415-01A Audio unit, Removal and installation).

2. Loosen the nut securing the antenna mast.



3. Disconnect the antenna assembly from the wing.



4. Disconnect the antenna cable.



5. Attach a suitable length of thin rope to the antenna wire.



6. Remove the antenna wire.



7. Disconnect the rope from the antenna wire.

Installation

1.

NOTE: Use suitable tape to secure the antenna wire and rope to facilitate installation.

Attach the rope to the wire of the new antenna.



2. Install the antenna wire.



3. Disconnect the rope from the antenna wire.

4. Connect the antenna cable.



5. Install the antenna assembly into the front fender.



6. Install the antenna mounting nut assembly.



7. Install the audio system.
