License plate lighting (Defender 2007+)

Removing

1. Remove one screw and remove the lamp cover and diffuser.

2. Unscrew the 2 latches and remove the metal cover to access the lamp latches and wiring.

3. Disconnect the lamp wires from the wiring harness.

4. Turn out 2 bolts, remove nuts and washers of fastening of a lamp to a car body.

5. Remove the bulb holder assembly with rubber seal and support.

Installation

1. Pass the wires of the lamp unit through the vehicle body and secure the lamp socket, seal and support.

2. Attach the lamp wires to the wiring harness connectors.

3. Replace the cover to hide the lamp clips.

4. Install diffuser and lamp cover.
