Headlight range control motor (Defender 2007+)

Removing

1. Remove headlight assembly.

For more information, please refer to chapter: Headlight assembly (417-01 Outdoor lighting, Removal and installation).

2. Disconnect the headlamp leveling motor harness electrical connector.

3. Turn the headlight beam tilt adjustment motor counterclockwise to release the locking tabs from the headlight housing support bracket.

4. Release the headlight beam tilt motor shaft from the locking groove in the headlight socket and remove the motor from the support bracket.

Installation

1. Install the headlight beam leveling motor on the support bracket and insert the motor shaft into the groove in the headlamp housing.

2. Press the headlight beam leveling motor and turn it clockwise to lock the locking tabs behind the support bracket.

3. Connect the headlight beam tilt motor harness electrical connector.

4. Install the headlight assembly.
