Review
Each dome light contains a 3-position switch (permanently on, permanently off and automatic mode). In the permanently on mode, the light is powered from the battery via the CJB. In automatic mode, the operation of the interior lighting is controlled by the anti-theft system module. The anti-theft system module controls the status of the doors, including the tailgate, using a microswitch system. When any door is opened, a ground loop is created in the corresponding switch. Upon detecting a ground loop, the anti-theft system module turns on the interior lighting. If the door is then closed, the anti-theft system module switches off the interior lighting after about 15 seconds.
The anti-theft system module also turns on the interior lighting when it receives a valid unlock signal from the radio remote control.
For more information, see the chapter: Anti-theft system - active (419-01A Anti-theft system - active, Description and principle of operation).
Model SVX (60th Anniversary)

3 | - | (Right) reading lamp |
The SVX has all the interior lighting features of the standard models plus two additional reading lights. Reading lights are located on the front surface of the storage compartment with a control switch located between them. The lights use a W3W bulb. To replace the bulb, use a suitable lever to gently pry off the lantern on the storage compartment, remove it and remove the bulb holder from the back of the lantern.
The reading lights are connected directly to the vehicle battery via fuses in the CJB and the battery electrical junction box (BJB). Therefore, the reading lights can work regardless of the position of the ignition switch. Each lamp receives battery voltage and the lamp lights up when the switch is activated, which completes the ground circuit.
