Heater control valve (Defender 2007+)

Removing

1. Remove the hood switch. Disconnect the hood switch electrical connector.

NOTE: Mark the installation position of the cable before removing it.

Disconnect the heater control cable. Release the clamp.



3. Disconnect the heater radiator supply hose.

• Secure the hose using a suitable clamp.
• Release the clamp.

4. Disconnect the supply and return hoses of the heater regulator.

• Use a suitable clamp to secure the hoses.
• Release two clamps.

5. Disconnect the heater core return hose. Release the clamp.



6. Disconnect the heater controller. Remove the nut.



7. Remove the heater regulator. Turn out a bolt.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order. Tighten (tightening torque 22 Nm).



2. Tighten (tightening torque 6 Nm).
