Latch Cable Adjustment (Defender 2007+)

General procedures

1. Remove the door trim panel.

For more information, see chapter: Front door trim panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

2. Carefully remove the plastic sheet to expose the mechanism.

3. Release the clamp and disconnect the solenoid rod from the latch.



4. Raise the latch fully.

5. Fully extend the solenoid actuator and then lower it 3.5 mm±1.00 mm.

6. While holding the actuator in this position, adjust the length of the link so that the link pin is aligned with the hole in the latch lever.

7. Connect the rod and secure it with a clamp.



8. Fix the plastic sheet.

9. Install the door trim panel.
