Front door lock actuator (Defender 2007+)

Removing

1. Remove the door trim panel.

For more information, see chapter: Front door trim panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

2. Carefully remove the plastic sheet to expose the mechanism.

3. Release a clip, disconnect and remove draft of an electromagnet of the lock.

4. Loosen the two screws holding the solenoid, release the solenoid from the base plate, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the solenoid.

Installation

1. Mate the electrical connector on the solenoid, position the solenoid on the base plate and tighten the screws.

2. Install and secure the linkage.

3. Adjust the door latch cable.

4. Install the plastic sheet.

5. Install the door trim panel.
