Instrument panel console — removal and installation (Defender 2007+)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery.

For more information, see the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mount and Wires, General Procedures).

2. Remove the audio block.

For more information, see the chapter: Audio block (415-01A Audio unit, Removal and installation).

3. Release the instrument panel console. Remove two screws.



4. Disconnect 6 electric sockets from the console of a guard of devices.



5. Remove the control panel console. Disconnect 7 electrical connectors.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.

2. Connect the wire "masses" to the battery. For more information, see the chapter: Connecting the Battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mount and Wires, General Procedures).
